I've been building truck models for over 25 years. 1:87 HO scale is the most popular model railroad scale and back when I started building customized trucks, the commercial market was very limited. Nowadays there is a vast selection of off the shelf trucks, but I try to go for the odd and unusual types or just super detailing a truck so that my customers can have a one-of-a-kind model for their layout, diorama, or collection.
